Adverse Weather Notice

i. Typhoon Signal No.1 / 3 or Amber / Red Rainstorm Warning: All training / events will be conducted as usual and no make-up course will be arranged.

ii. Morning Sessions: The training / events scheduled in the morning session (i.e. commencement time between 8:30 am - 2:00 pm) will be cancelled if Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, Black Rainstorm Signal, or Extreme Conditions is/ will be in force at or after 7:00 am.

iii. Afternoon Sessions: The training / event in afternoon session (i.e. commencement time between 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm) will be cancelled if the Typhoon Signal No.8 or above, Black Rainstorm Signal or Extreme Conditions is/ will be in force at or after 12:00nn.

iv. Evening Sessions: The training / events scheduled in the evening session (i.e. commencement time between 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm) will be cancelled if Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, Black Rainstorm Signal, or Extreme Conditions is/ will be in force at or after 3:00 pm.

v. If training or events have already started, they will be immediately suspended if the Hong Kong Observatory announces that Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is likely to be issued within the next 2 hours. By contrast, sessions will continue as scheduled if a Black Rainstorm Signal or Extreme Conditions is in force.

vi. If the Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, Black Rainstorm Warning or Extreme Condition is cancelled 2 hours before the training / events commencement time of the session, the session will be conducted as usual and no make-up course will be arranged. Note that there are three sessions for training/ events (i.e. one session in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening.)

vii. If the training/ events are cancelled due to typhoon, rainstorm or extreme conditions, the HKGTi will inform the participants of the date and arrangement of the make-up course as soon as possible. The attendance of the make-up course would also be counted and participants cannot dispute about the make-up course arrangement.

viii. HKGTi would make appropriate training / event arrangement in accordance with the actual situation. All arrangements are subject to final decision of the HKGTi.
